ELLIS, PATTON, VOLK
I am looking for Jasper and Surepta (PATTON) ELLIS, my great-greatgrandparents. Cannot find prior to 1870 Montgomery Federal Census, by that time Jasper had died. We have looked in Callaway, Warren, Gasconade Counties. Do you have a source in Audrain County? Serepta and Jasper are buried in the Patton Family Cemetery in McKittrick, MO. Their daughter Frances Isabelle married John VOLK. Am not sure of Surepta's father -- maybe Thomas PATTON, son of Jacob PATTON, early settler. (We visted the ELLIS family cemetery in McKittrick last week. A nice young couple have bought the farm there and are most interested in maintaining the cemetery. My sisters made arrangements to return in the autumn to clear it out. Meanwhile, plan to purchase organically grown veggies from Pieter and Jodie Los!) Thanks for whatever help you can give!
